Instruments
Kiwisonic ships with built-in instruments, so there is nothing to install before you start writing. They come in two kinds.
Fixed instruments are ready-made sounds with a set character. Pick one and play; there is nothing to adjust. KiwiSynth is the built-in synthesizer, with a library of editable presets covering bass, leads, pads, keys and more.
You can also load your own SFZ sample instruments and VST3 plugins. Those are not covered here.
Choosing an instrument
Every track editor has an instrument button showing the current instrument's name. Click it to open the instrument navigator, then search or browse for a sound. Instruments you can edit, KiwiSynth and VST3 plugins, show a gear button beside the instrument button that opens their editor.
